Ecorys are currently undertaking an independent review of current victims' services in London in accordance with the needs of victims on behalf of MOPAC. Gathering this insight is essential to informing the effective commissioning of victims’ services in the future. As part of the review, views and experiences of a range of statutory and non-statutory providers supporting victims in the capital are being obtained, along with the views and experiences of victims who have journied through the criminal justice system. An online survey of service providers is being completed along with in-depth telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews and focus group discussions.
The review is strongly supported by the Victims' Commissioner, Baroness Newlove, who is committed to ensuring the development of appropriate and effective support services for victims, and who is working closely with the Ecorys team on this evaluation.
