Ecorys is to design and implement a four-year communications strategy in El Salvador. The communications will raise awareness of the importance and impact of EU cooperation in El Salvador in achieving its development objectives independently of funding sources or mechanisms.
The project is led by Ecorys in consortium with AECOM, with the strategy implemented until 2021.
During the design phase, which started in March 2017, four plans will be developed: a communication and visibility plan, a working plan, a socialisation plan and an institutional relations plan. A local expert and a local company will be involved from the beginning of the project and will ensure that the strategy is adapted to the local reality.
Currently, cooperation between the EU and El Salvador is governed by the Multiannual Indicative Program 2014-2020. The objectives of this bilateral cooperation are focused on deepening the democratic process and sustainable development; consolidating the progress of transformation, democratisation and development; and supporting El Salvador in its integration into the world economy.
